The Protocol for Reconciliation and Grace Through Separation

On January 3, 2020 a diverse group representing United Methodist advocacy groups and United Methodist bishops from around the world announced a tentative agreement for the separation of the United Methodist Church.  This tentative agreement has the unanimous support of all involved in a mediation process which took place in 2019.  This agreement, called the Protocol for Reconciliation and Grace Through Separation, is a starting point which outlines a potential way forward for our denomination.  To take effect, it must be presented at the next General Conference and adopted.
Below you will find information which may be helpful to you as you read articles in the media and make yourself aware of issues facing our congregation and our denomination.
